EU shifting from BF - BOF to DRI - EAF routes for steel making while India's existing and new steel projects coming on BF-BOF technology. Steel making capacity will increase 146 mmt between 2025-27 globally wherein 40% will be BOF technology and majorly in Asia especially China and India (80%).
